Dr. Subash C K

Dr. Subash C K, joined as DST- Inspire faculty at Centre for nano and soft matter Sciences Bengaluru from October 2021. He received his Bachelor degree in Chemistry from Calicut University, Master of Science (Technology) degree in polymer science and technology in 2011 from NIT Calicut and he was a gold medal winner for outstanding scholastic performance for post-graduation from NIT Calicut. He completed his PhD degree in 2017 from School of Nano Science and Technology, NIT Calicut in the topic of Piezoelectric polymer nanocomposite for pressure sensor and energy harvesting applications.  He worked as an adhoc faculty and in charge of institute microscopic centre at School of materials science and Engineering, NIT Calicut for 3 years. Then he joined as a postdoctoral research fellow at CeNS (January 2021), During his postdoctoral tenure he was working on polymer electrochromic materials for smart window applications. In 2021 he was awarded with DST-INSPIRE faculty fellowship award from the Department of science and technology, the Government of India.
He published his research findings in several well recognized peer-reviewed international journals and presented in different conferences. His research interests include materials for energy applications, piezoelectric materials, electrochromic materials, materials for hydrogen evolution and storage, ferroelectric, piezoelectric, and contact electrification-based devices for sensors and energy harvesting, polymer nanocomposites, nanomaterials synthesis, and microscopic analysis for nanotechnology. Apart from the research activities, he is an active resource person and teacher mentor for various science and technology classes and events organized by different schools and colleges.
