 e sessions on liquid crystals (LCs) were presented at Anthony Claret School
 , Jalahalli, Bangalore, on 25 -08-2015. The speaker from CeNS namely, C. V.
  Yelamaggad was received by college vice-principal and other staff members.
  He was introduced to 9th and 10th standard pupils (audience) by PRO of the
  School. In the beginning, the presenter briefly informed about the activit
 ies of CeNS, especially highlighted the point that V4 program is set out to
  stimulate and nurture basic and applied scientific curiosity among school 
 children. In the first session (11.00 am to 12.15 pm), the students were in
 troduced to basic concepts and phenomena of LCs; at the end, a time limited
  (25 mins.) question-answer session was held. In the subsequent session (2.
 00 pm to 3.30 pm), the students were informed about the existing applicatio
 ns of LCs; besides, polarization of light, double refraction phenomenon and
  order-mobility of LCs were demonstrated experimentally.\n\n\n&nbsp;Photo\n
